Need Help Extracting Engine ECU 93 LS400
I know there have been quite a few threads discussing this subject but none have been detailed enough (for me) to get the ECU out from under the glove box. Hopefully there is someone out there with a good memory of what needs to be done - maybe a copy of appropriate shop manual page that outlines the procedure. Any and all help APPRECIATED - wife is waiting for the car (and your reply).
thx in advance, Randall

I helped a friend change his ECU on a 94. Just remove the under-dash cover on the passenger side. There are two bolts holding it, you can reach in with a 10mm wrench if you have skinny hands and not even have to mess with the glove box. Took us 15 minutes and it fixed all the problems he was having (stalling, low idle, severe bogging).

Almost done..... Just need the replacement ECU
thx awhiteguy. Actually, I went ahead and bought a shop manual - wife wanted it done NOW! And you are right - not a big job. I just didn't want to damage parts. Now all I need to do is find a deal on the ECU (89661-50140). Then wife will be happier. But not completely happy until the dishwasher that quit working last night gets a new circuit board..... and now I have to deal with a hurricane tomorrow! geeeeez, what next!
