I have a 93 LS400 with the Pioneer system. My AM band gives no reception. The radio comes on of course, and there is static. You can actually hear some broadcast, but very poor.

The FM side is fine. Can anyone tell me if there is a separate antenna or if this is a problem with the head unit? Is is a common problem?

I don't have window tint so if it is an issue of an antenna in the glass somewhere, that's not the problem.
