Ok,
I have another post about my 94 LS 400 Lunges, The latest problem is the front pump in the transmission is making noise, and I need to replace the trans. My question is...what is the difference between a 1990-1994 transmission. I can't imagine there is one, but I would like your input. I have a friend that has a 1992 trans, in great shape for $300.00, I just want to make sure it will work.

The box itself didn't change til the 5 speed....BUT the ECU controlling it did change , as to if this will make a difference on a change over I don't know , but your early ECU might not speak the same language as the later ECU .

I actually found a 94 trans so there should be no problem. I am doing the swap today.
