what is going on? after replace PS and altenator
93 ls400
had a ps leak and smoke from the exhaust every morning or sitting in a spot for a while, and altenator not charging 12.4 +
so i replaceed the PS pump with iac pluged, also the altenator today
after i repalced it it run very rought it idle up and down from 1000rpm to 2000 rpm and go back to 1000rpm and it seen the window rolling down very slow and the light is getting dim, so i check the bettary it not really changing it showed 10.3 v and slowly droping so i did farther test i drove around and the ca runing very rought if i put it in D it will stay 1000rpm i have to hold the brake tight lol and ofcouse the abs light on. so.... i drove around and every thing getting very dim and getting no power so i shut it off and restart and it will not start bc the battary drain out
i am thinking it all cause from a bad altenator but still not sure

Make sure your drive belt is isntalled properly, make sure your belt tensioner is working and the belt is not slipping, and make sure the pulley on the new pump isnt sticky.
Other than that, it is common in these cars for alternator to go bad because of the PS pump. Since the pump sits right on top of alternator, when it starts leaking, it drips onto the alternator and kills it.

I didnt even notice that you replaced the alternator as well when I read your original thread...
Its hard to say, it could be that your alternator isnt working properly because the car is running too roughly, but I guess it could be vice versa as well. Start by checking the drive belt, connections, make sure everything is the way its suposed to be.
