Hi y'all, I bought my 94 LS a couple weeks ago and so far it's been great, but the engine has stalled while I was coming to a stop twice. Both times I turned the A/C off, hit the brakes, and by the time I stop the steering feel goes dead and the engine stalls.

It only does it when I hit the 'off' button on the climate control or push the A/C button off then brake to a stop. Anyone experience that? If it's the idle control valve, fine, but that's about $600, and I want to be SURE that's it.

I'm not sure, but when I turn my A/C off in my '94 while stopped or going under 10mph, the car seems to want to lurch forward and my instant reaction is to slam on the brakes. A little disconcerting.

your throttle body is dirty and the idle valve is not activating.
