98 LS interior wood color ??
Trying to get the wood shifter for my 98 ls but even dealership says it cannot tell for sure what color my wood trim interior is? Of course this NJ so "help" means something different to the parts people here....

As PureDrifter told you, there is no code for the wood trim on a 98 LS400. It was listed in the original specs only as "Walnut Interior Trim". It is not like there were choices in wood color on the 98 and 99 LS - there was only one wood and color.

Trying to get the wood shift **** and have purchased two that were not the right color on Ebay and need to nail this thing down once and for all!thanks as always for the help!

Good luck! I have bad news. I have a 98ls also. I went to the dealer to ( with vin #) to replace my leather one for a new wood ****. And was told there is no way he could match the color. I took the chance and ordered one. It came a little darker than the car, doesn't look to bad!! I guess the sun had faded the wood to some degree.

To the OP, there is one on Ebay right now I think with a BIN of $139 IIRC. This one had black leather trim I believe.
