suspension woes
95 ls400 with suspension that is sometimes great and sometimes like riding on a buckboard.* Took to lexus dealership today and they tell me that I need new height sensors which they'd be happy to install for $1,260.* Questions:1. anyone else have same symptom and solution2. can these parts be ordered after market3. will conversion to non-air struts mean that I don't need these at allI hate to spend that kind of money when the struts may go out next.* I'd appreciate any input.thanks

I don't know anything about the air suspensions, I have H&R's and KYB's on my 98 LS.
How hard can it be to change out the height sensors, has to be easier than changing the entire suspension over to non air.
I would think you could find the parts online.

air suspension conversion

IMO if my LS400 has air suspension I would swap it out for the suspension right away. To me the problems with the air shocks are not worth the hassle of just a little better ride. Members have had no problems with their ride quality after the conversion. Look at it this way, around $7 or $800 (a few companies to choose from) you get to change all 4 shocks + 4 springs and can forget about future air suspension problems. Those shocks usually carry a lifetime warranty also. Good luck with your choice.
