Gday guys,

Having and issue with my sunroof (first gen Celsior), there is a rattling sound coming from it. I have had a look and everything seems firm, had a mate check while driving but also cant seem to see anything. The rattle is louder then the sunscreen is open.

Anyone ever had this issue? I know the explaintion is breif. I hoping this is a comon issue.

Does it rattle when its closed? I'm guessing towards the seals being old and worn out.

My second gen rattles - louder with the sunshade open - closed you can barely hear it. I think mine is from the plastic surround because when I push on the seam the rattle almost disappears. BTW when I tilt the sunroof the sound disappears.

my sunshade squeaks when it's closed tightly...i have to back it off slightly to stop the noise.

They've had rattling sun shade/sliders even back in the mid 80's. Poor design that they still have issues with. The 2-GS guys have it too. Mine does as well.

Odd, my first gen has no rattle whatsoever. you guys should look into a fix =D

I get the rattle whenever the shade is open and its gone when I close it.

Hmmm so it definetly seems like a common problem,

Unfortunetly doesnt seem to be a common fix. My rattle is hardly noticiable when I have the sunroof closed and the slider closed aswell. Open the slider the ratlle becomes a little bit louded. Open the sunroof its louder again, but is loudest on tilt. It obviously has to do with the mechanics in the sunroof.

Is it difficult to remove a sunroof? Im not sure if this is even do able. But would like to give it a go as it makes my beautiful car sound like a heap of crap hahaha.
