I am happy for my accomplishments.DIY!
My line of work is an O/O(owner operator, semi) and dealing with the securement of cargo, working on minor stuff on the truck, I knew I could do most things on my car.I had a 90 LS which I sold 2 yrs ago, and I remember tackling things like changing the plugs, both spindles, brakes, serpentine belt, rotors, instrument cluster and topping my AC.Some of the tasks where tough but it saved me a lot of money by staying out of service shops.
On my 95 LS, I knew I needed strut rods in the front, lower ball joints and one rotor was warped.I went ahead and bought an electric(1/2 inch)impact gun and an air impact gun.The air was to run off the air lines on my semi and the electric would run off the generator on the semi. This was incase the truck could not crank up for air.
I brought the electric gun home and started with the Thermostat and coolant flush.(what a breeze!)I then bought Iridium plugs at Autozone for $7 each and changed all the plugs. My next task which I was scared to do was the balljoints, rotors and strut rod.The right side was a breeze, and the only issue I ran into was the brake/heat shroud was rubbing against the rotors when I was done and had to do a drive test. That was easy to correct. The headache came when I got to the drivers side.I took off the caliper, brake pads and rotor but I couldn't not take off one bolt that holds the lower ball joint to the lower part of spindle. The bolt was shredded.I guess a better metric socket would do, and so I have decided to invest in a set of professional deep sockets from ebay.I still have the unchanged new lower balljoint. The strut rod I got from the junk yard was also bad.I will have to go new on the strut rod....ouch!!
Thanks for Carson Toyota for some of the parts.I think the strut rod is going for $102 each at Carson.
Just a little story for an accomplishment.
BTW for you 95LS owners out there when doing this task, http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/s site mentions that you need Ball joint puller (OEM Tools #25297, $9.99 @ Autozone) .In addition to this tool you need the puller with the wider opening.Without these 2 parts, get ready to hammer the balljoint from the steering knuckle.
Please excuse the lenght of this posts.

Older than me?
Besides the seniority, you also live in Ga.
My work mobile sometimes takes soo much attention from the LS.All kinds of fixes which costs twice as much as those on the LS.
I still miss my 90, it seem faster from wide open throttle than the 95.The 95 feels much heavier. The 95 requires you to take off the caliper to change the pads but that is not necessary in the 90.I could list a whole bunch of differences.
Sorry I don't post much after all these "senior years" on here, I have about 2 other boards that I lurk on.
