Default UCF20, 170k with no service records - what to look for?

I'm looking at a '96 with 170,000 miles on it. Cosmetically, everything looks great inside and out, but the seller has no service records. What problems should I be looking for, and how should the lack of service records factor into the final price?

One more thing - Carfax certifies that it's a 1-owner car, but the seller hesitated when I asked, and said "I think two owners..."

Seems shady, but the car felt so solid! I'm torn...

Because I work on my own vehicles, I have no service records either. I at least keep receipts for parts and services that I can't do (such as alignments, etc.) and keep an Excel spreadsheet of what was done and when.

If the owner has NOTHING, I'd pass.

Default gracias

Thanks for the advice guys. Since it was purchased at auction (which maybe explains the lack of records) I'll still pursue it, to a point. I plan on calling Lexus tomorrow with the VIN in hopes that they might have some idea of its service history. I think if you guys saw this one you wouldn't completely avoid it ; )

Same here, when I got my LS, I had no past service information or anything. Trying my best to replace what needs to be replaced and get a major tune up.
