I have a 90 Celsior and I have been getting in s/h UCF21 struts from Japan for people as replacements for their UCF11 struts , at about $200.00 to $250.00 each in good nick they are are good alternative for new units at $800.00 each .
I recently sourced two brand new UCF21 air struts from Japan but when they turned up they only have the one slot for the motor drive down into the strut instead of the UCF11 and early UCF21 struts which have two !!
They have a narrower motor drive cos it only has one drive in it and they have also gone from being bolted down to the top bracket with screws to a stud and nuts .
I have noticed that the TEMS switch has gone missing from the gearshift control panel as well .
At what year did this happen ???
I kinda figure it might have been in late 96 when they went to the VVTI ??
The UCF21 came out in oct 94 , I have already fitted two sets of fronts and one set of rear UCF21 air struts into Celsiors and I need to know when the change occured .
HELP .
Know anybody with a 96 or later LS that wants two brand new in the box air struts ?
