Where is the member who had their subframe bolts tightened?
Hi,
I'm looking for the member who got his subframe bolts tightened by his suspension shop when nothing else worked for front end shaking/noise. I'm wondering if I'm having the same problem. Because when I recently changed my engine mounts, my shop told me that the crossmember needed to be removed. Before that I ask the shop to check the subframe bolts (as per the member) and the owner of the shop said "...yeah, the crossmember has to be remove so we will have to tighten it anyway...". So the crossmember and the subframe are similar parts? Anyway, after the engine mounts were replaced the car felt much tighter in the front...suspension wise...like almost no shaking/noise. Then I brought it back to the shop to check some other noise (turned out to be cracked EGR pipe). I didn't have the part so I took the car back to bring it back at a later day when I get the EGR pipe. Then the suspension noise/shaking return again. Just wonder if raising the car up will loosen some stuff that they did earlier. SORRY FOR THE LAST POST. Please help. Thanks.
