I am new to this site and thought it might be helpful. My 91 LS400 with 145K miles had the check engine warning light come on today. After the light came on, I drove the car to work and back home and the car drives fine. The manual says there is a problem with the engine electrical system so I tried checking the fuses only in the engine compartment. In addition, I tried checking a lot of features in the car that require an electrical current (windows, power locks, horns, sunroom etc). Everything seems fine. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing the check engine light to be on? I know this is a shot in the dark. Thanks for any help.
