Default Things I have to do when driving my LS400 at night.

Some of this gets kind of annoying, but it is worth it to drive such a nice car. First of all besides spinning the handle on the left to turn the headlights on, I have to reach down and flip the aftermarket fog light switch on. Next I have to hit the TRAC button so that I disable it. Next I have to search through the six disc changer to find a song that I want to listen to. And what I cant stand the most. If I want to look at myself in the rear view I have to hit the green lit up button to disable it as well. Otherwise it self tints and I cant see me.

The life of a Lexus owner is kind of hard, or maybe Im too spoiled by this car.

Why are you turning on your foglights as a matter of course, if there is no fog outside? Why are you disabling TRAC for a normal drive?

When I drive at night.

Turn the car on...and drive. Radio is already on, as are the headlights(auto)

Simple simple!

My lights are on Auto too, and Climate control is always set at 71. Lately I started to shut down the Climate control for some reason, weird habit.

Mine does kinda... (92), At night when I'm driving w/ my lights on, and I arrive where I am going, I shut my car off THEN open the door (not vice versa, cause the lights will stay on the other way around) and the lights automatically go off, and they come back on when the car is started again.

my '93 behaves the same way, however there is a light sensor on the dash that was not there in my '90. If I turn my headlights to Auto during the day, or when it's overcast and only lightly raining they won't turn on.

That's not auto-headlights. That's to prevent you from draining your battery by leaving your headlights on. 1993 & up LS400's have a sensor on top of the dashboard and a setting on the headlight stalk for "Auto," which turns on the headlights when the available light drops below a set threshold. It can be changed on 1993-1997 cars by turning the sensor cap on the dashboard, which adjusts the filter attached to it, thereby affecting how much light the actual sensor, inside the dashboard, receives.
