this is my homie johnny from royal flush. he's on bags but drives his car aired down like it's static.

generally speaking, bags known to be bouncy in general and driving on highways, the car tends to sway alot. that's from what bagged peeps are tellin me.
Less air = "spring rate is reduced" and the shock isnt in it optimal performance range if its air'd out alot.

On air.
The way I see it. Three levels.
1. Air'd up to clear the road, looks donked.
2. Mid level tucking tire with some bounce.
3. Bottom air out enough to tuck tire, bouncy as hell dangerous driving.

Static..
Slammed. Shock in optimal range. Spring rate does not change.
Option to add air cups to clear the road obstacles.

Proper way to air i guess would use a coilover body. Air seems more expensive than static with cupkit.

maybe we should create a different thread about this subject.

since i am on bags on coils, i'll chime in. of course i still don't have my wheels on yet so we'll see the stance and rolling height soon. what i can tell you now is that i can run low!

from what UAS told me, as the psi on the bags run low, the spring rate INCREASES. yeah that surprised me too! he told me the spring rate on the air bag is NOT linear. it's more exponential. of course the spring rate is not as high as conventional springs. i can tell you that running at 90psi (where max is 110 recommended), it sure feels like a coilover spring in there (stiff)!

back on topic!

Looks good!! I keep wanting something a little better than the style95's. but I always find myself wanting to just stick to those wheels. What size adapters are you running?

I think they're great "training wheels." They've really given me a better understanding of what is possible to fit under the car and having less than a grand invested in the whole setup is nice too. Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade sometime this year but I'm not gonna sweat it, I love the simplistic look of the setup.

1" adapters from adaptitusa.

hahaha, "training wheels". That's a good way to put it. Those are training wheels I could live with for awhile myself. How much fender work had to be done to get them to fit? I'm trying to decide is I want to go 19x9 all around. Or 19x10 all around. Don't want to do the staggered setup.

Are you on coilovers or air?

I got overzealous and pulled too much F&R, I'm on 215/35F & 225/35R and I wish I'd had gone with 225F & 235R because they'll fit (with my over-pulled fronts.) Looks like 10s with 225/35 would be doable in the front, maybe I'll swap them around later on to check.

I'm on Megan EZs.

Its highly dependent on the setup. If they are setup for tons of height when aired up or at ride height pressure than yea at low psi will have tons of sway. If your on a coil over bag setup and say set it up like Philly Rob does which is ride height is lower than a lot of static guys LOL... Down fall to this is at you only get a little bit of lift as he is already at like 50psi just rolling around town. But it rides similar to coils and lays frame at shows. He has a video showing he only gets like a max of an inch of lift over his fenders LOL. So it doesn't really make parking any easier or navigating parking lot obstacles.
