Dave, you dont have to take out the driver seat when you put the wire into the cabin through the grommet underneath. Move the seat back and remove the plastic door guard piece and then pull it from underneath the carpet.

Underneath the driver's seat, as in , on the outside of the car, there is a 4" rubber circular grommet. Pop it out with a screw driver, then pierce a hole in it, run the wire through it, and then push the wire into the car. Then do as NJ240sxMan instructed and push the driver's seat back, pop off the plastic door guard, and then pull the carpet back, and you will find your power wire.

maybe this will help:

1.)the red power wire is run directly from your battery to your amp (and does not plug into your deck)

2.)you should have a small (blue, hopefully they all use blue?) wire that runs from your Amp to your deck (called the "Rem" wire but may be labeled differently like Remote wire or something), okay so that goes to your deck directly from your amp, you have to look at your deck's owners manual and find out which color wire to connect this with, it's like the remore turn on or something...

3.)then you should have a wire with metal fittings that have a red and white end that plug into holes in your amplifier this is your speaker wire and this also plugs into your deck the place to plug this in is like the Aux ports (mine has a sub port as well) and you plug these in to your deck directly from your amp

4.)The ground wire which goes directly from your amp and is securely touching a metal spot on your car (you might have to rub some paint off using sandpaper or something), try not to run this directly next to your other wires i think it causes interference

*Depending on where you have your amp at you may have to use different routes to get the power wire from your battery to the amp, my amp is in my trunk so i had find some grommets at the back (near the trunk) and did not worry about running it through the cabin...as you can see some people use the grommets to run it into the cabin and then from the cabin into the trunk...like i said it depends where your amp is at.

Good Luck!

(anyone please correct me if i was wrong in any of this! )
