Hey guys,

After a lot of research and weeks I finally bought a 91 LS400. Its in great shape but does need a power steering rebuild. I've read the tutorials on that so I think I am all set, I'm going to by pass the ISC to prevent the white start up smoke until I finish the Z's maintenance for the upcoming race season.

I do have one issue I didn't see covered. My TRAC OFF light is on, but it wasnt on the day I test drove or bought and I was able to toggle it at that time. What could be causing this to stay on? Thanks.

Check out LesLS.com, go under tutorials, and then click intro.. that will so you how to pull the codes... it is very easy, and only takes about 4 minutes, if that.

Do you have any pics of the LS? And if you have any of the Z06 too I would be very intrested in seeing those... I had 01 Z06 as well 'til I totalled it! Ended up being a blessing in disguise, cause I really needed a slower car, I was getting in too much trouble with the Z06 and 300zxTT.

No pics of the LS that are anything better than what I snapped on a phone. My daughter stole the camera and doesn't get back until tonight from her trip. I have tons of pics and in-car camera video from autocrossing/open lapping the Z06. Here is a quick pic:

And here's a video:

Thanks for that tip, I saw that and it didn't occur to me to just pull the code on pre-OBDII. I'll snap some pics of the LS400 probably tomorrow at lunch.

Welcome to CL. What an awesome video of your Z06 at the track - makes me want to go out and do the same except I don't have a Z06 - they are awesome cars for the money. Not ot get off topic but my buddy owns Ferrari's and is a fanatic. I sent him a great video of an F430 not able to catch a Z06 at Laguna Seca. He said so what it is still not a Ferrari!

Thanks, so far the Z06 my favorite car I've ever owned and its about my 21st car (lex is 22nd) - it was a big change from my Miata which I loved on the track. And thanks for your muffler thread - very nice to see someone not putting on 6" melon launcher tips on their car, very tasteful and nice sounding. For now I'm keeping my exhaust stock, the Lex is a nice change of pace from that Z or the Civic (which I realized I left off the sig).

While on the topic, my car only came with one master key with remote, no valet or non-remote master. I ready about the Mikado mod and sent off an email. Whats the option just to buy one master with remote key? Also, how do you do the programming? I didn't see that posted in any search I have done so far.
