Hello all, bought my first Lexus which is a 1996 ls400, forest green color, saddle/ beige interior with air ride suspension. Like the car alot right now but am finding out rims are a pain to find because of this overly big front brake caliper. Was wondering as I read the posts on here some people use a spacer to mount the rims what size do u use and did you have to get longer studs?
Also did you have to use the spacers in the rear for an even look in the wheel wells.
thanks in advance for any advise.

They're wheels, not "rims." If you're going to ask a serious question, why interject slang terminology? You just need to find wheels with BBK clearance and the proper offset. Puredrifter should know more as he has custom wheels on his 2LS.

otherwise ur going to need between a 5-15mm spacer (depending on wheel disk/pad type) and extended studs. H&R iirc makes a loved by most 5 or 10mm spacer that comes with extended studs.

If I don't, who will? I feel the need to stop the denigration of the English language. It's poor English, and should be treated as such. Why must you criticize my criticisms? At the very least, I contributed positively to the thread in the 3rd sentence of my post.

First I'ld like to apologize to whom it may concern for using the the wrong terminology in past and future posts in this forum. That being said thanks to sonyman and PureDrifter for the info they gave me.

Tough crowd here bro. I went through the very same issue on my 95. I ended up trying several wheel sets before getting one that actually fit. That is why this forum is good since many have gone through this. Regardless if you order or your local tire shop does it, be sure to ask the manufacturer if the wheel will clear the caliper. BTW, there are a few threads on wheel selections where folks list make and offset. Good luck and welcome to CL

I went to the one thread that talked about wheel, size, tires, drops, and saw alot of different styles, and some nice looking cars for that matter. I was looking for 20s and didnt see as much in the thread as 18" and 19" ones , is there a reason for this?

It could be because of the increase in tire cost and decrease in comfort when going from 19" to 20" wheels.
