which sensor do you think? I tried for quite a while so i think the pressure should have built up...what is the thing that kinda looks like a fuel pressure regulator but its on the right fuel rail...i noticed a slight fuel leak there but once i put the washer in it was fine...I am sorry i dont know what its called...its a dome looking thing and connects with a fuel line into the right fuel rail...

Could be TPS (Throttle pressure sensor). You did say it does not shut off when being sprayed, this tells me that may be your problem. Have a mechanic check it out.

Hey Guys...i have made some progress on this..the car starts not but dies in the about 8 seconds. I made sure there is enough in there. It seems like there isnt enough fuel pressure but i could be wrong. Any ideas? I tried it a bunch of times...but it does the same thing ...just dies after 5 to 10 seconds..please help i am running out of ideas here.

Thanks for this tip. That is a great idea. I just did the same thing on my '95 LS with 254,000 km. A great 'short-cut', but still a lot of work. I spent about 12-14 hrs wrenching, I think.

The right contact (to the battery) was a real pain to replace. I was at a point of giving up. Took a long break (dinner) and then went back at it. There is no space for a socket and a ratcheting wrench did not have enough stroke. I ended up having to manually click the gearwrench forward one click at a time!

Is the hose to the fuel pressure regulator connected?

It's a HUGE PITA, but if you have removed intake manifolds and replaced motor mounts, it's a doable job. Get a .pdf copy of the TSRM, a good tool set - you need a good ratchet, a few extensions, shallow and deep 10, 12, 14, 17, 19mm sockets and combination wrenches in the same size at the very least. Dedicate a few days, organize your parts and TAKE YOUR TIME.

Just make sure you get Gearwrench or Snap-On ones - they have a 5 degree arc swing that makes life easier.

Then cut ends into the bolt when you put it back on so you can use a screwdriver to thread it in...this saved TONs of time...THANK YOU to whomever suggested it..

Does anyone have the torque specifications for the intake manifold bolts and is there a tightening sequence ?
