My car is ready
After getting an estimate from a lexus dealership for over 2000.00$ to do rear suspension work, I took my car to a mechanic who used to work at Lexus(8 years),He now has his own shop, and he simply replaced the bushings without having to replace the whole arm and top plate and ball joints and and and... as Lexus had suggested.
He also replaced the power steering hose and front break pads(he also did away with the one time sensor for the brake pads- a useless expensive if you check your brake pads at every oil change)
He did all of this plus changed the oil and sealed an exhuast leak for under 700.00$.
The car runs as smoothly as its reputation. It's a serene pleasure drive.

My next question is , what are the best all season or summer tires for my 95 ls 400? I am a conservative driver( I never exceed 70 mph or 140 km/h) and want a quiet reliable tires that perform well in the rain. Any suggestions?

Yes the dealer tends to be expensive. Its the hourly rate for mechanics that push up the price, and all the parts. All lexus oem parts tend to be up there. but hey the difference between dealership work and independent shops is that everything is cover under a type of warranty. but looking for tires. i would just go with the michellin mxv4 they work really well to my opinion. like the saying you pay for what you get. but now i got is350 wheels on my 95 ls

I had the Bridgestone Turanza LSH-V's as my all seasons. Did pretty well in all kinds of weather and the warranty is like 80K on them.

I also used these for all-season tires and was pretty happy with them. The only thing is that I found them a bit iffy in wet situations, although that may also be a result of the poor road surfaces here in Vegas under rain conditions.

I never had a problem with them in wet, snow, etc. I also had them on a Toyota Camry I previously owned a few years back. They were not the LSH's but still Turanza's. I loved them, quiet, responsive, and handled well in all conditions.
In fact,, was rocking them on the LS until I bought my current set of wheels.

I run the michellin hydro edge which has a 800 rating which is about the longest tire on the road today. I have 60k on them and they still look just great still half good. I didn't buy for the rain but the wear and tear and warranty for 80,000 miles. I have been using michellin tires since the 1960's and the hydro edge are the best they have ever made I average 50k plus a year driving as a salesman and probably gotten near a million miles or more and never a flat with michellins I have owned every michellin made and the hydro edge are the best by far. By the way I don't sell michellins or mobil one I just use them nothing comes close to keeping a lexus on the road 500,000 miles.
