Aux Power Mod (pictures)
A few weeks ago I installed four aux power plugs in the center armrest. Here are the pictures I promised. Nothing very special, but here they are.
My car originally came with the Lexus phone. I removed all of the hardware and found the power line that was running to the phone. I purchased a complete 4 outlet box, cut the wires, ran a fusible link and it works like a charm.
I store my radar detector in the center armrest along with my phone that now can be charged. The airclick remote also is in the center.
Instead of doing the CD changer bypass for the iPods I'm just using the iPod cassette adapter. The cable runs through the center console. It pops out under the radio. This summer if I am bugged by the black cable I will do the CD changer mod.
Best,
Dustin

Off-topic, but nice LS! Fully loaded with Nak and air suspension, and perfect leather!
Back on-topic:
I may get around to doing something similar someday, but I'd personally rather integrate an outlet along the lines of what the 1997 had as it looks like you've lost a lot of console space.

Good idea, and Nice LS.
I have done a similar mod with my XM radio. The wires are under all of the panels and the reciever is on the roof infront of the sunroof. I ran the cable up the pillar into the sunroof and out. Not a wire in sight. The tape does a good job on the XM radio believe it or not.

Thank you.
Yes, I did loose some storage space. If it starts to bother me I will try and come up with another idea of how to get power into the center console.
