Default Power Steering Fluid Change

Changed my oil today (Mobil 1) and while checking other fluids looked at P/S fluid and it felt kind of gummy...How do I drain or remove fluid from reservoir and what type fluid should I use?? Is there some kind of filter in the system somewhere??? Thanks, Stroker

I bought a pump at pepboys and I sucked out the oil and used dexron trans fluid ran the car for a couple of minutes then sucked out the fluid again did this 5 times till the fluid was nice and red use about 2quarts of trans fluid doing this. I now use mobil one synthetic transmission fluid to change my power steering fluid it runs cooler for the power steering pump and helps keep wear down hope this helps
