How do I know if my distributor cap is bad?

how many miles on the 2 distributor caps and rotors it should be changed every 100,000 miles along with the water pump timing belt lower crank seal and the spark plugs and spark plug wires and timing belt tensioners also replace the fan belt with its tensioners and your are good for another 100,000 miles.

wow, thanks for the information, I just bought the car about a month ago and the previous owner did not take great care of it, when changing my air filter I found pecan shells under the hood behind the headlights, when I changed my taillight bulbs a spider crawled out and I found a crown royal bag under the trunk mat- being a young driver this would not look good, he didn't even keep a log of maintenance done so I'll just have to eyeball it.

Ls4hundred If Your Car Has Around 100,000 Miles Or More Take My Adivce From Abouve And Have All The Parts Changed Don't Take A Chance On Damaging The Engine Also Repace The Antifreeze Oil In The Rearend And Power Steering Fluid And Well As The Transmission
