Default 1990 LS400, brake upgrades?

I was a bit suprised that the stock front brakes on my LS400 were a single piston design. I'm no canyon racer, but would it be worth my while to look into upgrading the front brakes? Or are they plenty adequate for normal road use. Can the later 2 piston calipers be retrofitted easily?

I believe it's easy enough to switch over to 1993-1994 brakes, which would be the ideal choice. I assume your wheels would clear them, but I don't know for certain.

actually the IDEAL choice would be Supra TT brakes (very $$y) or 95-00 LS400 brakes (which need an RCA/ball joint mod to fit properly but MUCH cheaper)

both solutions bolt on but the 2ls needs some massaging.

since you're not a canyon racer, get a good quality set of rotors and some good pads. they will make a huge difference. add some stainless brake lines and new brake fluid and you're all set.

Maybe I should have worded my post differently. Newer 1st-gen brakes would be a direct-swap, without needing ball joints or BBK wheels.

Can you guys confirm the 93-94 calipers are a drop-in for my '90 LS400 and that they will clear the stock rims?
