Default like son, like father... another LS400 (pictures)

After purchasing a 1995 LS400 a few weeks ago my father decided he needed to find one. This past weekend he found a 1996 with 52k miles on the clock in northern Ohio.

It was at a used car dealership in a small town and he traded in his 1994 Buick Roadmaster Wagon for the LS.

It doesn't have the service history like mine does, but the paint is in better condition. No air suspension, no Nak sound system. It does have the gold package.

Here it is...

My 1995 with his 1996

Note to everyone. I noticed his car was running a little hotter than mine -- not by much, but just a tick higher. I pulled the plastic off and found the following.

There was more dirt, crud and leaves stuck in the radiator than I've ever seen.

I vacuumed out all the junk and the temperature returned to normal. I checked mine and had similar dirt, I cleaned mine as well. Mine now seems to run cooler as well.

So there you have it. Two UCF20's for our family. Both with low miles and we found both for a great price.

best,

Dustin

Yeah, I need to find him some hood supports. His are completely shot. The car is in relatively good condition all around. The driver seat is worn more than my car.

It seems to shift a little smoother than my car, even though my cars owner had the transmission fluid changed twice in the 58k miles she owned the car.

My dad is 60 years old and a diehard GM nut. So this was a big change for him. We have a lot of cars in our family too so he couldn't decide which car to get rid of, but decided to trade in the 1994 Roadmaster Estate Wagon that had 95k miles on the clock.

As far as price wise, I believe he paid $8k plus his Roadmaster.

I see,,,Silverado pickup, Saturn, Nova hatchback, another Roadmaster. He really is a diehard GM guy and covered the spectrum as well. LOL!!!!

Nothing says corruption like that of a son corrupting his own dad. LOL!!! Nice find on both cars.

The hood lifts on eBay are good. I have them on my LS and they work great and only cost $40 delivered

Oh it goes even more than that.

Basically the car list goes like this.

2004 Silvorado - His
1995 Roadmaster Limite Sedan - Mom's
1988 Chevy Nova - Beater Car
1995 Camaro Z28 Conv. - Midlife crisis car
2003 Harley - 2nd Midlife crisis?

The Saturn is my fiancee's so that isn't his. But the hillbilly camper, well, that is mom and pops.

Best
