Angry 93 ls key locked in ignition!!

hey guys, I recently installed a levoc shifter in my car... while I was installing this item I kept the key in the ignition so I could double check my work and make sure the o/d function worked properly. so... now I cannot turn my key all the way to the left and remove it from the ignition, it stays locked in there until the battery dies and only then can I take it out. the car turns and starts perfectly I just cant take the damn key out when i park, its very frustrating as my battery has already died 3 times, can somebody help me out!?!?!

Wasn't there something you were suppose to remove from the bottom of the shifter so that the tranny could lock/unlock al the way? Sounds like you have something jammed/should have been removed, and the shifter is partially stuck in gear. I would take the shifter loose and so if anything is jamming it at the very base.

Edit-- did a little research an I was wrong, dont know if this will help any,,,

You also might have the shifter installed too far down so it thinks the shift button is always pressed.

hey guys thanks for all the suggestions I have found the problem and of course its a simple one. After I retraced my steps and spent alittle time becoming friends with the guts of my shifter I discovered I left a very obvious piece of the stock system out. There is a spring that pushes the shifter up after its depressed and moved out of park that I left out. Its not mentioned in the tutorial I used so I dont feel like to much of an idiot

truk you were right on bro.
