Two Questions, tires, gold emblems
Hope everyone had a good weekend! I've got two questions:
1) Tires, for my 1999 LS, any favorites? Any tires to stay away from?
2) The gold emblems are faded, and I was wondering if you can re-plate them, or do you have to just replace them?
On a funny note, I asked how much it would cost to replace the hood struts while I was getting the oil changed at my Lexus Dealer. Would you believe $400.00 !!! My jaw truly hit the ground. Are they mad??? And they said it with a straight face!

1) Go with any tire that suits your budget and needs. My recommendations would be the Toyo Versado LX or the Michelin Energy MXV4+, but there are many good tires out there.
2) You can replate them if the chrome is still shiny. If not, they will have to be replaced.
3) Go aftermarket then.
