Default air suspension strutmasters convertors

Hello all,

So I have purchased a 93 LS and I am fairly certain the air struts are bad. I've read all about the strutmasters conversion but haven't seen any pictures of how it looks. I'd really like to lower the vehicle and worry that the strutmasters (from lextreme with 1.5" drop) won't be very low.

Anyone have pictures of their car with the lower strutmasters?

Also if I went for a coilover setup (i.e. Tein or JIC) I should only need the strut top plates from a non-air suspension LS to convert it right?

Thanks in advance!

You can always switch out different springs, but I think going with coilovers will be your best bet to get whatever ride height you want. With coilovers you don't need to buy strut top plates, its part of the coilover assembly itself.

Thanks suneet!

Hmmm well getting a coilover setup might be a better idea then, I can probably source one for a grand. The strutmasters is only a little less than that.

Still would love to see any pics that you guys might have with the strutmasters kit from lextreme.

Unless you buy the coilovers used, they will cost you more than a grand to obtain. Also on a 93(first gen LS), you choice of coilovers is gonna be limited unless you import them in from overseas. BTW, TEIN does not make any coilovers for the LS before 95 so the JIC's may be your best bet.

Thanks trukn1, I though TEIN made them for that year. maybe I was thinking cusco...I dunno. Anyways yes they would definitely be used, I've seen the JIC go for around that much. If worse comes to worse I may just get the strutmasters and get different springs at a later date. (which is why I'd really like tosee the drop they have :P)_
