Default 92 ls 400 tranny problem

so i bought my lexus with 220000 miles on it from a friend who took well care of it back in my home town. i moved from fargo, nd to surprise arizona, on my way here we were driving about 85mph and the cruise was set. all of a sudden it just reved out like my foot was on the gas and the car was in nuetral. i came to a stop tried putting it back in park and then trying it again... nothing. then i would shut it off, and start it again and it would work again untill i got going then it would do it again. no check engine light, but ran a code for the OVERSPEED SENSORE...dont have a clue what to do... anyone have an idea of what it could be???

thanks
max

Default Gearbox oil

Transmission oil stands out like a sore thumb. Either low or needs replacing.

Exercise caution here and be sure you use the correct transmission fluid: ONLY use Toyota Type T-IV. Also be sure whoever puts it in knows how to service an LS400.

Good Luck!
