Default Are Head Units the same in 1996 and 1997 LS400?
Part Number: 1996: 86120-50361. 1997:86120-50360. Pioneer.
Did anyone ever put a 86120-50360 in a 1996 LS400? or an 86120-50361 in a 1997 LS400?

I am wondering why they have different part number if they are the same part.

If there is a revision to the part during its life cycle they will change the part number. That doesn't mean, however, that it won't work in the application of the previous part.

Confirmed. Just put a 1997 LS4 pioneer HU into a 1996 LS4. It works.
