How much did you pay for your exhaust?
Hey guys, how much did you spend to have your exhaust made? I am planning on deleting the resonators and adding an x-pipe. Should I use 2.5 or 2.25 from the cats to the x-pipe? After the x-pipe I am planning on using 2.25 so as not to lose low end. One more question though, should I get rid of the mufflers or buy some high flow ones? If so, which should I use, magnaflow, flowmaster, or borla?

You don't need more than 2.25 really if you're doing a true dual setup. Get rid of the mufflers and get Magnaflows or Borlas. Magnaflow is usually cheaper than Borla, and produced a much nicer sound than Flowmaster.
I'm not sure how much the mufflers and x-pipe will cost, but the piping and labor itself shouldn't run you more than $300 tops.

are you just trying to achieve different sound?
i just did a muffler delete on my 99 ls. sounds really good. it cost me 150 for labor and parts.

Here's a picture of the stock catback with yours truly...
The stock muffler inlets are center, but it looks like the outlets are slightly offset. Shouldn't be that big of a deal.

well like pure said it would be very minimal to see any performance gains from exhaust mods on a stock motor. so unless u were doing planning on doing any mods to the motor i would just do a muffler delete.
i have to post the pics of my muffler delete so you can get an idea of a option.
i know that those outlets a little offset and you would also want to keep the hangers in mind.

doing a full cat-back exhaust will have a decently noticeable effect in response, but going with SS tubing, mandrel bent tubing, any tubing >2.25in is a waste since the minute performance advantages are NOT justified by the cost.
