Got my car back from the body shop and noticed something was a bit off..

There was a nice 4 or 6ga black wire bolted to a small plate with two holes on it.

WTF.

it looks like the freaking neg battery cable! car runs fine though so..

any idea where the hell this bolts to? i couldnt find anything obvious.

its the drivers side infront of the wheel, right by the vertical splash guard... on the "inside" closer tot he oil pan

It could be a transmission ground on the engine also.

That bracket mounts to the A/C compressor (its should be fastened near the pulley)...one of the holes is for a stud and nut, the other for a bolt.

thats the only thing i could see i guessed it could fasten to. that stud on the AC compressor confused me because there was never anything attached to it.
