Default Fuel Injector noise? Anything to fix this?

I know many cars just have loud injectors (like my corvette), that can sound like a lifter ticking. This is my first LS and I know the engines are so quiet... but are they injectors supposed to be real quiet too? I know toyotas' injectors tend to get a little noisy as they age...

Would a fuel system cleaner fix this? I know its not a big deal... its just alitttllleee annoying.

Thanks!

Buy some BG44k on ebay. It'll be gone after 1 tank. Honest

Report back on your results.

Good Luck

I know all Toyota injectors do get quite loud as they age . Never heard of anything fixing it other than replacing them.

This is true SK...

Maybe I'm getting the injector tap confused with valves, but after using BG44k on 3 vehicles (LS400-55k, Wrangler-135k, F150-65k) the tapping noise was MUCH less on all of them especially the Wrangler. The difference BG44k made is unbelievable! I've used Seafoam in the past, but didn't get noticeable results.

Quick note: On the LS after a long road trip right during treatment, when I pulled on surface streets, the idle was running 100-200 RPM higher than normal. This corrected itself after about 100 miles. I suppose the computer needed a chance to recalibrate after clearing those clogged injectors!
Bottom line, I get 1-2 MPG better, smoother idle and better throttle response.

It may have also cleaned your throttle body ,raising the rpm's.
I have used many cleaners and they only will stop valve clatter which i rarely have but an oil change always stops that but the injector tick keeps going and going.

Actually, the TB was replaced 6 months ago to correct a low idle issue (400 RPM). It still did not resolve the issue until the dealer "consulted" w/ Lexus engineers and found that the ECU had to be reprogrammed for the new TB. I documented this in an earlier thread
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=281713

I think they artificially raised the idle to satisfy me when all along it probably only needed a fuel injection service.

BG44k is only sold thru dealers (or ebay)...no retail. It's the stuff they use when they sell you a $125.00 fuel injection service.
