Default Wow you guys weren't joking v.intake

decided to try the "lexkost/jbrady" mod the other day and was wowed by the result. I really thought most of you were slightly hyping up the difference in sound and throttle response but it really did surprise me.

once again a big to CL's LS400 forum

I switched back to OEM from Lexkost's mod for 1 month to see if I got better mileage. I'll post the difference when I am done - you're right about the sound - you can hear the air bro.

Defintely a nice sounding mod..I've got the lexhost basically w/ the heatshield/removed headlight gasket part from jbrady's. Not sure about the mpg...mine around town is pretty terrible, about 15mpg. Didn't notice if it was better w/ stock.

i actually cut nothing..... all i did is remove the big *** round plastic shield off the filter completely. i dont know why anyone needed moldings but my actually filter clipped right back on the maf no problem at all.

basically just act like you're changing the filter. unbolt the one bolt, unclip and remove the big *** plastic donut and clip the filter back in. done. id take a pic but car is still in the effing body shop (not to mention a pic isnt really needed, haha)
