Default Maintenance Question (distributors and rotors replacement) '95

I am looking to change the plugs and wires on my 95 LS. I also have to change the timing belt, water pump cap and rotors too in the near future. The question I have is should I change the distributors and rotors when I change the plugs of when the timing belt is change. I have OEM plugs and wires. Should the rotors and distributors be OEM, or can I get them from the local auto shop. Thanks

Thanks Pure. How about changing the distributor and rotors when changing the wires and plugs or changing them when doing the timing belt.

I saw your question I have been lucky to meet some of the teachers at the lexus training center here in California and here is what I was told at around 100k change the wires rotors distributor caps water pump timing belt lower crank seal all the belt pullys just as sure as you don't change one of these something will go out and the labor will cost all over again. Also have your auto shop person drain the radiator and the block and put in Toyota antifreeze with distilled water 50/50 mix change out the power steering fluid and if needed the trans fluid and rear end oil remember you take care of your lexus and it will take of you.

The manual specifies a 90k interval for the distributor rotors and caps. That is what I would follow.

Pure is right - call Luis or Steve at Carson Toyota. I just got more parts from Luis and their OEM prices were close or the same as aftermarket prices.
