Warped Rotors (front) on 98 LS
I was wondering if there is anything I can do about this? I've needed to have my rotors turned twice already this year, and I don't think I'm braking that hard.
Would rotors with those drilled holes help prevent warpage because the heat would be dissipated faster? Do you know of a good supplier?
Any other suggestions?

You're experiencing heat build-up and that heat is not dissipating evenly. This may also be in part due to the rotor or caliper not clamping evenly-centered so when you are stopped, it is exerting force to push/pull the rotor in a certain direction. So when hot...it will be prone to warp. Give yourself a bit more space so that before coming to a complete stop, you can roll forward several feet to allow the rotors to let heat off. Drilled rotors won't make much difference and you'll likely encounter warping sooner with those.
One tip I learned from a limo driver was that when the car comes to a final stop, your passengers should not be leaning forward then coming back to rest on the seat...that meant the braking was too hard. Just watch their head movements. Same with shifting a manual tranny...smooth application of the pedals.

are you doing the brake job yourself? im guessing since you have a 98, you have 4 piston caliper right? so the calipers dont move on sliders, so you dont have to lube the sliders. since you have 4 piston calipers, are either the inner pads or outer pads wearing evenly or is one wearing more than the other? if so either the inner pistons or outer pistons are probably frozen in the caliper... or how are you mounting your rim back on? are you torquing the lug nuts or gunning them on? gunning them on can warp the rotor over time... just some things to keep in mind..

I had min turned last year and went with ThermoQuiet ceramic pads - no more warped rotors. I believe mine were "warping" due to transfer of brake pad material and not warping of the actual metal rotor since they have been perfect since last year.

No, but those drilled holes will help your rotors crack faster. The majority of aftermarket drilled rotors will not help, and most are inferior to slotted rotors (or even plain simple regular rotors). Slots/holes are there primarily to let the gassing from the pad/rotor contact escape, not to dissipate heat.

unless a really good quality drilled rotor is used. i've never had a problem with drilled rotors; they help quite a bit in wet conditions too. of course i buy the rotors made by brembo...
