Default How to remove trunk trim panels

I have a 1998 LS 400 and need access to the underneath of the rear deck. I am going to be installing an Infinite Baffle sub enclosure for one 12" driver under the rear deck similar to this:


My question is how do you remove this trim panel? It looks like it takes a torx head driver but I don't seem to have one that will fit. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

which trim panel? the one that normally covers the area ur showing? it just pops off, pull DOWN

Yes the one directly below the rear deck. So it just pops off huh. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Yes that works. You actually have to pull back (rearward) and down to release the clips. Thanks again.

Good luck with the install. Post progress pics while you're at it, I'm going to be doing the same instal in my 94 LS400.
