Default LS400 wheel offset??????????????

Hey all. This is my new baby. Pick it up this week. 1998 model with only 81,000klm's (50,000 miles). I'm looking at a set of 19x8's +35 offset (see reply from seller below). Do you think I will have any problems with tyres rubbing? I'll post some pics of wheels later.

HI THERE MATE
THE LEXUS IS A BIT OF A ODD FITTMENT THESE WHEELS HAVE A OFFSET OF 35MM AND YOUR CAR HAS 45MM WHICH MEENS THEY WILL SIT ABOUT 10 - 15 MM CLOSER TO YOUR GAURDS SO IF YOU HAVE CHECKED IT OUT YOU SHOULD HAVE THAT MUCH ROOM BUT WILL NEED TO CHECK THAT AGAIN BEFORE YOU GO FOR ANYTHING NORMALY CARS DO HAVE THAT MUCH ROOM AND THESE ARE GOING TO BE A BETTER FIT THAN THE OTHERS WE WERE TALKING ABOUT ALSO I WOULD PUT A 235/35X19 TYRE ON INSTEAD OF A 245/35X19 AND THIS WOULD HELP WITH YOUR FITMENT !!

These wheels are the +35mm offset that I'm worried about. 19x8's. What do we all think?

These are the BBOSS wheels on a IS Lexus. Look neat hey? These come in +45mm offset so they assure me that they will fit with no problems. I'm leaning towards these but I like the deep dish as well. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

not the offset thats the problem, make sure u ask the manufacturer if they are positive that the wheels will clear ur brakes.

the brakes on the 98-00 Celsior/LS400 are HUGE, bigger even than those found on the 93-98 MKiV Toyota Supra Turbo.

In the front I'd go with a 235 tire, rear you can go 245 and you'll be fine.

Like Pure said, make sure the wheels have a spoke design that will allow the wheels to clear the massive brake calipers that the ucf20's have.

this are conservative offsets in my opinion. +35 is weak, you would be able to clear +25 to +30 on a 19x10 in the rear without any fender modifications. trust me i know because i thats what i ran on my 96 LS400. 19x8 is definitely going to make the wheels look sunken in because they are. figure, 2 inches on the width of the wheel with a high offset like that, you're going to be seeing alot of gap between the wheel and your fender. in my opinion, if you are going with those wheels, place some 40mm spacers. which would result in a 19x8 -5 offset but hey at least it will look flush and have great fitment. =]

the 2LS can run 245/40/19 F and 275/35/19 R. More room/clearance than 1LS

i just tried 20x8 +20 offset on the front the other day and it stuck out 1 1/2 inch past the fender

i got 20x8 +40 up front and 20x10 +35 in the rear, both sit just even with the fender edge

It's not just offset that determines the fit of the wheel. Wheel width plays a MAJOR part. You cannot simply go by offset alone.

18x7 @ +35 & 18x10 @ +35 are waaaaay different.

Use a wheel/tire calculator.

the front will fit ok as long as the spokes clear teh caliper, but the rear will look sunken in. you should try for a wider rear wheel with about +30 in the back if you go with a 10" wide.
