Default Has anyone changed the alternator?

I remember reading about a forum member had to change the alternator right after he changed the P/S pump. I have the same problem now. I just changed my P/S pump two months ago, now the generator light is on.
Just wonder where did you guy buy your alternator. How much did you paid? Would autozone alternator good enough?

Thanks

I do my own work except the timing belt. Why did you have to change the P/S pump and the alternator? did the P/S pump leaks on you? Oil pan gasket? Was it leaking?

well the P/S pump was leaking all over the alternator....which screwed up the charging system.....and the oil pan gasket was leaking slightly....not much.

Guys,

What Amperage did you buy? 100A, 120A?
According to my shop manual, SC400 use 100A. Is that mean the 120A is after market?

$275 for a new alt. sound good. Iam still debating on buying a rebuild or change the brush myself

Thanks for replied.
