Default taillamp failure

Took my 99 LS to a detailer; When I picked up the car I got a "tail lamp failure"
indication on the dash. Every person at the detailer except the cashier speaks no english. Took it to a service station mechanic; he told me it was one of the two bulbs in the rear window brakelite. Said he could not figure out how to get at the bulb. Anybody know how to get at that bulb?

check the plugs on the lights on the trunklid, they seem to die/get loose so when u press the brake pedal one side wont light up.

This happened to me after I had an amp/sub installed. I haven't had time to check all the lights yet, but something just may be loose.
