Default 91 ls 400 A/c Which valve

can any one describe the correct valve to connect a recharge kit. there are two and I want to make sure I have the correct one.

you cant use a recharge kit available in store since u have an older R12 aka Freon air conditioner.

recharge kits from local autoparts stores are 99.9% of the time made for R134a coolant, which is totally different and NOT interchangeable. want more info? search.

Pure drifter is correct. Our first gens use the older R12 refrigerant and cannot be purchased at a store. Best suggestion is to have the old refrigerant pumped out, a dye test done to assure that there are no leaks in your A/C system and then come back in a few days, provided no leaks are present, and have your system converted to the R134 refrigerant. I had mine converted already, but unfortunately I have a leak and will need to replace compressor and condensor.

BTW, got off topic a little. To answer your original question, the high pressure side of the system, side which needs to be filled, is the valve closest to the firewall on the passenger side.
