Im looking for a set of front and rear seats for my 91 LS400 what seats from other cars will work? Or better yet what years Lexus seats will fit?

I don't think anyone has looked into this. Your rear bench.. only the LS400 seat from the same years. Front seats? Pontentially any seat will fit as long as you get the bolt patterns to match. But I don't think you'll find anything. Stick to the stock seats, and if you want an upgrade, www.leatherseats.com . I'm one of their happy customers.

rear seats: only 89-92 will fit for sure, 93-94 MAY fit but that cant be confirmed

front seats:same as rear i think

Well, I did see a first gen LS with a different set of seats, but it had tinted windows, so I couldnt tell which seats were they. They might have been older ES or SC seats, defenately not LS seats. I a note on the car asking the owner to call me, but he/she never did.

Also, I would think newer LS seats would defenately fit, maybe with some modifications, but the wiring is most likely different.

What you mean tilt to one side?? mine sit straight, but want ot change them out for something more snug and comfortable. The leather is hard and, hate that springy feel of them. I'm so use to sport seats, and these don't cut it for looks or comfort.

Those 2nd gen seats look nice in them. Does anybody know if the GS seats would fit into a 1 gen ls400?

Yes, I had htis problem. I fixed it buy buying a rod that connects from the motor on one side of the seat to the reclining gear on the other side of the seat. It was like $40 or so. The teeth inside the rod wear out after a while and you have to replace it.

Does anyone know if I will encounter problems if I put front seats out of a '93 LS400 into my '91 LS400? I know they'll fit and bolt up correctly since the look identical, but will I get an "AIR BAG" malfunction light on the instrument panel or something wierd like that? Will the wiring underneath the seat of the '93 connect properly to the wiring that is in my '91 so that the power seat controls will still work?
