What does everyone think? Has anyone done this?

Yup!. I've done it and it turned out very nicely. It really adds style to the spartan plastic look in the first generation LS 400. The only caveat is dont put a cover on the radio/cd player, because the trim covers the button function and you dont know how to adjust etc. It looks perfectly normal without the radio covered. I got mine on e-bay and the seller's name is exotic dash. He pretty much sells it for about $112 which is less than the one you had in your url. They are all the same manufacturer.

Right Here......http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...tem=598353882. Ask for the carbon fiber. I used the Burlwood kit and it was great.

Search Function Inc.
Just contacted the factory that produces all the dash trims. There are 2 of them. One is run by Israel people and another by Russians. Guess what, I am getting a custom made kit for my aftermarket radios and the like just because I am Russian. Sweetness

The wooden dash kit from exotic looks nice, but it doesnt have the piece for the sunroof console and the AC vent that is behind the arm rest.
Anybody knows where to find a wooden dash kit that includes these two parts for the 1st gen. LS?
