Default Some better pics of my new 94 LS400

Well, I finally got some better pics to show you all. Car is great so far, with just a few issues to work out. The dash does not light up when very cold out, the end of the speedo needle is out, and the gas gauge does not work... I will be sending it off to Mr Whizard when I get the chance. The car is not clean in these shots.. but it is better than the ones I had before.

Thanks

Ken

Here are some pics of my other addiction.. BIKES!!

The Dirt Machine.

OH.. And my second HOME !!!

Thanks.. for the feedback. For now I plan to just drive and enjoy it.
But I need to get a wheel rebalanced, then fix the instument cluster, There is a slight oil leak somewhere, I suspect a valve cover gasket, since no oil loss has occured in over 1500 miles it cant be a major seal, after driving it, when you park or let it idle, you can smell a slight odor of oil on something hot... no smoke, just a smell. It could be just leftover oil from the timing belt change. Mabye the mechanic spilled some oil somewhere.

The pricey thing may be some front end work. The car drives straight, but trams a bit on uneven road surfaces. I am suspecting ball joints... hoping it is not the uppers.. I know they are $$$ since you have to replace the control arms. I am very mechanicaly capable.. so I can do the work myself, but the parts alone are $$$.

So far I am averaging 21 MPG. mixed driving.. just about right.

I really love the car.. It is hard to believe it is 13 years old. There are many many new cars that are not this nice... Hell you cant buy a Camry for the $4700 I paid. I have all the maint records since 2002. timing belt was changed by Lexus 1K miles before I bought it. And it has major brake work done too. Plus all the oil change reciepts.

Glad there is a forum to aid in problems.. But this is a great car... I think one of the best ever built... Consumer Reports called it the most reliable used car you can buy... and said that an 8 year old LS was more reliable than a 2006 Mercedes... Amazing.. and sad for Merc.

Have a good one

Ken

if it just tramlines get an alignment done first, CAs and bushings cause more drastic symptoms.
