Tried to clean throttle body, broke a hose instead..
Well I took my throttle body assembly apart and cleaned it.. and in the process, I broke a hose. Thats what sucks about working on a 13 year old car with nearly 200K miles. Anytime you try to do something, something brakes!
Take a look at the picture I've attached. I broke this hose coming into the air intake pipe. I'm not sure what it does. In the picture there are two blue arrows. One is pointing to the actual hose that does not attach anymore, and the other arrow is pointing to the plastic inlet that it is supposed to attach to. My plastic inlet just broke off and came off into the hose.
Anybody have an idea what it does? All I can see is that it goes down underneath the power steering fluid resevoir. There is another hose coming from that area, but that hose goes directly to the engine, right on top of it where it says "Lexus"..
Check it out... any help is appreciated.

This hose goes down to the ICV (Idle Control Valve). I eliminated mine using the instructions on here...
Both hoses are for the ICV valve, but I think you're better off without it. My car's ECU has "learned" and adjusted the idle control by itself so I don't get dips in the idle anymore. I'll clarify myself, I did not leave these valves open, they are obviously capped.

I broke mine even though I knew they are delicate and I took extra super special care !!
But don't panic !!
There is enough meat in the spud to drill it out and tap it to 1/8 gas and then screw a brass unit in there...too easy old son !!
