Default Opinion about Rotors..

Hey guys,,, have been searching around in the forums of old and relatively new to get a concensus for my search. Recently, when I attended a NELOC meet in the Baltimore area, I stepped on my brakes coming off of the highway and I could feel the tell tale pulsing of the brakes thru the steering wheel. My brake pads were replaced recently, 3 months, yet I had to replace my rotors as well with some really cheap aftermarket ones. I didnt want to do it, but I knew I was going to upgrade soon anyway and at the time I needed them right then and there. The rotors I had were so bad and so thin, that I could literally chip away at them with a fingernail!!!!! Yes they were that cheaply made. Anyway, I need to get some good quality rotors, and was wondering what your thought were. OEM vs Quality Aftermarket, brands, etc.
I was really leaning towards the Brembo slotted b/c I have read that the CD&S ones had a tendency to wear out pretty quickly. After doing some research, and reading alot of comments, some people like the Bembo brand,, others cant run away from it quick enough (IE. multiple changeouts in a short period of time). Others say just stick with OEM only!! Was curious to see what the concensus is here lately since some of the threads were a few years old.

Let me know what your opinions are and please be civil. I have taken the time to research first before bringing this subject up. Am just curious to see if people's opinions have changed over what I have read already.

Thanks guys!!!

for OEM brakes: id go with either the ATE slotted from TR (VERY VERY CHEAP for the LS, and good quality it seems, no personal experience with these) or Brembo OEM replacements (non-d/s but damn near bulletproof, have these on my dad's LS).

2 LS upgrade: the same brembo's or ATEs from above, or perhaps Powerslots d/s rotors.

I was going to upgrade to Brembo cross drilled or EBC slotted and dimpled rotors since I too was having the same brake pedal pulse. I decided to take the rotors off and have them turned once again (twice since new). It only cost $32 and when these eventually warp or the pad material lodges onto the rotor I will either pick Brembo or EBC.
