Default Radio/tape player/CD changer problem

I have a problem with my 93 SC400 and no one in SC section has answers. Hope you guy could help.

After I change the mirror ECU, the radio stopped working. No control to the tape player or the CD changer either. I thought that I have blown a fuse. No fuse was burnt. Then I thought that I might of short some wires when changing the ECU. But all the control of the A/C work. If I short some wires, the A/C control should have been affected too. After checking all the fuses once more. The radio start playing but only one station with different frequencies coming in. I can't change stations or turn it off, can't change to tape or CD.

I tried the tape player, it did not play at first, then it start playing but I can't eject the tape out unless the engine is off. Still can't change to CD or radio while the tape is playing.

All lights are on at night, all A/C control work. Only the radio/ Tape/ CD chnagers controls not responding.

Has any one encounter this probem before?
How many people have their radio replaced?
Do you think my receiver (radio) control is faulty or do you think I short some wires?

Thanks in Advance

Get your manual out and check whether the unit has to be reseted at teh dealership. You need to call them and get a code to unlock your radio. This is some kind of protection Lexus have.

retrodrive,

The manual doesn't say anything about reset the radio. Thanks for reminding me about this. I'll check into this and call the dealer for the reset code too.

Nice pictures on Hot Women by the way

retrodrive,

Page 91 of what section? I looked again last night on book 2, Body electrical section where they talk about radio. Nothing, Nada...and I thought that I've seen it somewhere before

Thanks retro,

I checked my 93 SC400 manual on the theft deter section and it doesn't say anything about radio at all.

The radio only get one station and the tape player works but can't eject unless the ignition is off. Just hope that the radio reveiver is not on it way out yet Can't afford to put in after market sys. in yet. Even with new sys. I need to determine that the receiver is bad before messing with installing another stereo.
