running amp 12v wire through firewall
#46
LexGx, sorry I had not seen this pop up as recent. In answer to your question,, if you look at post #36, third pic from top, you will see where I have enough play in the wire to actually just stuff the insulation back into place and the wire just go under it. I did not bother to "seal" with adhesive, as the area is tight enough to just stuff the insulation back into place without fear of it flying or flapping. Where I drilled, the blue wire came down between the fuse box, under the dash and the E-brake pedal.

Hey guys - Just resurrecting an old thread here as I resurrect my old LS that's been in storage for awhile...
When you routed the amp power wire through the firewall, do you go through the hole with the upper grommet, the lower opening, or another way? See attached pic.
THANK YOU!!

When you drilled there and put the wire in, did the wire go straight down to the brake pedal area or was it another hole to drill? I'm trying to do this on a 2000 but when I flashed a light in grommet hole, it looked like a boxed in area with no way for the wire to go down
