evap... how hard to change? '90
Just like the tittle says
how hard is it to change the evap on a 90 LS400
I heard you would have to take out the whole dashboard
is that true?
Let me know your experiences!
thanks in advance.

I did mine when I first got the car .
Allow a whole day , you go in by removing the glove box , also remove the kick panel and side trim so that you can fold the carpet out of the way , it's not rocket surgery but it it is tricky .
Be careful with the bolts and the connections on the underhood side and super careful with the little capilery tube .
It's a big piece of gear to get out so take your time , also I tended to remove a lot of the ECU's and stuff just to give me more room to move .
If I was to do it again I would think about removing the seat - depending on how hard it would be to get out ??
Good luck .

One thing I forgot to mention is to make sure you have a 1/4 drive socket set with a 10 mm 6 sided socket and a long extension , invaluable to reach some of the nuts/bolts on the fire wall , you will never get in there with a ring spanner .
Will save a heap of time as well .

Well guys I finally did it... It was a pain to take the glove box apart with out no manual. But me and my friend found it out. A/C works great. For any one doing this, you do not need to take apart the dash like others say. It's only the passenger bottom side and glove box. but taking out the whole evap is hard and frustrating, even so the 10mm nuts in the engine bay...
Here's a crappy picture of how it looked like with evap out...
