Help!! 90 LS400 needs alternator R & R
I'm in the process of replacing an alternator on the lexus and the old one will not come out without removing the power steering pump and or radiator. Anyone with experience please help !!!! this job is getting bigger by the moment. Is there something I'm missing ie an easier way to R & R the alternator. Need help ASAP. Thanks!!!

Alternator will come out the bottom. You need to loosen the power steering pressure hose from bottom. It connects to oil pan area with 3 10MM bolts. Once you loosen PS line you can remove from bottom without removing any other items. As you remove you will have to roll alternator as removing to clear the battery terminal on side of alt.
Good luck

what about this do dad ?
justfixit,
got the old alternator out and swapped the heat shield over to the new alternator and noticed the new alternator did not come with the do dad that looks like a condenser bolted to the outside of the case and has one electrical lead to the battery terminal. Should I swap this over to the new one or is it possible the new one has this do dad mounted internally.
